Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê (/ˈɘnë/ /ˈdig̃ɘ/ [old; antique] [sun; day]) is a subtropical Small Town located in the Yêmëcê Zone of the Union of Engineers.
The name Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê was founded by Ubleth Zlêyesepí, who was culturaly Iron Elven.
Climate
Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê has a yearly average temperature of 26°C (78°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 33°C (91°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 20°C (68°F). Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê receives an average of 271 cm/y (106 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê covers an area of nearly 3 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 1668 m (5472 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê was founded durring the late 12th century in summer of the year 1076, by Ubleth Zlêyesepí. The establishment of Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê's construction back out of the project. Ubleth Zlêyesepí pushed on reguardles, and Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.
Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.
Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê is buildings have been located at convienant points along the rivers Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the narrow packed earth streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks and fences to provide minimal protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. The town's somewhat suffishent are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.
A look around Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scutteling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s everything together. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê long.
Civic Infrastructure
Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê.
Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.
Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.
Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.
Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.
Cultural Notes
A substantial minority of the locals are descended from foreigners alien to their local neighbors. They may have been religious exiles, economic migrants, indigenous locals surrounded by the existing polity, or a foreign settlement conquered within the relatively recent past. The locals may not be enthusiastic about being ruled by others not of their kind, and their neighbors may look askance at the way foreign customs or even laws may be maintained.
Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.
Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is recurring in Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê.
The Necrocraft near Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.
Ênë-dig̈ê Fêqê's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves embarking on a group pilgrimage to channel Summoning energies of tier 2 via recitation of poetic epics.
Economy
